These specimens are fine examples of pseudomorphs.  In these samples, an iron mineral (hematite or limonite) has replaced and taken the form of another mineral (likely siderite).  The result is hematite (or limonite) exhibiting rhombohedral form.  These specimens are self-collected from Teller County, Colorado.
